Wouldn’t you though?
Being out in the garden all day can be exhausting – the strain on my binocular arm is unbearable – *sigh* if only the pool boy would stand still. Okay, you got me. I don’t have a pool boy, or a pool for that matter. The real version of my life is tiring for very different reasons (work, kids, chores – you’re familiar with it all, I’m sure) so at the end of a sunny day spent running around a little sun downer on the lawn always feels well deserved.
But when I recently prised open our ancient, damp-smelling and rather stained garden chairs I knew it was time for an upgrade. And luckily a friend told me about this gorgeous range of garden accessories fromDenys & Fielding which, considering its quality and originality is very competitive on price. A classic deckchair, (with solid wood frames) costs £95. I love the cherry print fabric, (inspired by an American forties dress print apparently) as seen on this Wideboy deckchair, above, which makes a snug seat for two or a relaxing, roomy chair for one (£160).
If you want to add a pop of colour but don’t need new furniture you could invest in Extra Large Floor Cushions for the kiddies (£60) or a Classic Cushion, (£45). The range was all created by two sisters who use pre-war and vintage dress prints as the inspiration for their designs. All the fabrics are designed and manufactured in the UK (big Muddy tick) and evocative of the thirties and forties. And they’re not just for sale, the chairs and stools are also available for hire – ideal for marquee weddings and parties.
There’s even a rather fabulous Windbreak, £155, perfect if you’re off camping, to a festival or just for a day out at the beach. Basically they’re a super stylish blast of fun and garden glamour. So if it’s time to pimp up your patio check out the full range of these funky deckchairs and cushions that will help your garden get its groove on…
