15% Winser London for Muddy readers!!!
It feels like forever since I’ve been excited about a fashion brand, so it feels good to have a little sashay down Designer Avenue with Winser London. Hero Brown, the Muddy founder and editor over in Bucks/Oxon put me onto this brand and even though it’s only been around since 2013, primarily as an online-based brand, Winser London has already made a big splash nationally. And there are now pop up shops around the UK, plus concessions in John Lewis and Harvey Nics. Hero’s sharing the love with this special discount, exclusive to Muddy readers, here’s what she has to say:
Owner Kim Winser, who happens to live near Gerrard’s Cross, clearly has excellent taste and therefore must be a huuuuge fan of Muddy Stilettos (oh come on, go with it!) She used to be the boss at Aquascutum and Pringle so this is a woman knows a fair bit about good cashmere and a well cut coat, and prior to that was a director at high street fighter M&S, where the competitive price point was everything.
The two skillsets have pretty much collided in Winser London. I liked the Winser London collection last year but I think this A/W the clothes have really hit the mark – grown up in all the right ways (those Miracle dresses have their name for a reason, let me tell you), but it also a bit funkier and more versatile, with some cool pieces like the cashmere lounge pants, silk front knit tunic top (below) and the kind of slouchy knits that teens would nick in a flash.
The brand sits in the Whistles top end of high street price bracket but with the textile and finish credentials of designer labels. And now there’s a new string to its bow – Winser lead model, the fragrant Yasmin Le Bon (you won’t believe it, but she’s 50 people, 50!!!!) , has just created her first capsule collection for the brand. Since we used to share a desire in common – namely Simon Le Bon – I’ve been quick off the mark to emulate her style, and bored of 50 shades of grey in my wardrobe, I’ve snapped up her stripy cashmere jumper in warm autumnal shades. Terrible photo I know (blame my son, he ain’t no David Bailey), but you get the idea anyway.
Admittedy *sniff* it looks a bit better on Yasmin but we can’t all be supermodels, can we?
There’s loads of other stuff I have my eye on as the prices are investment-sensible if you know what I mean and even more affordable now that there’s delicious 15% special Muddy discount. Kim Winser, it turns out, is indeed a Muddy Stilettos fan – I know, amazing! – and has offered all Muddy readers 15% off all clothes (excluding sale items) until 31 OCTOBER. Just quote MUDDYVIP at checkout any time until Halloween, at which time feel free to revert back to your highly flammable polyester witch’s outfit.
