Muddy Descends on Mount Pleasant
Get a sneak peek into the Muddy Awards Winners gathering & this special Cornish venue
Yesterday we gathered to celebrate our 27 Muddy Award winners at Mount Pleasant Eco Park near Porthtowan.
Because we all love a nose, I thought I share a few photos from the event and give a heartfelt Muddy recommendation for the wonderful team at the Eco Park – an inspiring enterprise and a truly unique Cornish venue.
We used the atrium space, which was perfect yesterday, as it’s totally open, allowing a through draft but shaded, so nobody keeled over from sunstroke.
A completely vegetarian venue, La Cantina – the Eco Park cafe whipped us up some amazing gluten-free and vegan cakes for the occasion. La Cantina’s team caters all the Eco Park’s events but also opens for special community lunches every Friday and Reggae Roasts throughout the autumn and winter.
You can also camp, join workshops, visit summer markets and even get married here. But to see the Eco Park really come to life, grab some tickets for their annual world music festival Tropical Pressure next month. A real local favourite, our road seems to empty out for the 3-day event.
A great big Muddy thank you to Mount Pleasant Eco Park for having us, to Best Photographer winner Andrew Draycott for taking the pics and to all the winners who came to collect their certificates and pat each other on the back.
See a full list of the winners here and look out for posts about these fab local businesses, coming to the blog soon.
And just to round things off the Cornish way, here’s gratuitous beach shot of Porthtowan yesterday.
