Muddy says: A luxurious but affordable boutique B&B in the heart of Falmouth.
Lovingly refurbished by owners Simon and Vanessa, the Highcliffe B&B in the arty, buzzing seaside town of Falmouth oozes style, charm and comfort. Its eight bedrooms range from singles to a penthouse suite and each has been individually and uniquely designed, mixing contemporary style with original features. Expect soaring Edwardian ceilings, panoramic views of the town and harbour, and luxury touches such as marble tiles or a roll-top slipper bath. All come with Molton Brown toiletries, Egyptian cotton bed linen, use of the guest lounge and free onsite parking.
Breakfasts are made to order using local ingredients, with a daily special to ring the changes from the full English fry up. And if you can’t quite drag yourself out of those sumptuous beds in time for the 8:15 to 9:30am breakfast service in the dining room (well, it is a holiday after all), there’s the option of pre-booking the “Idle Bird”. The menu includes grilled bacon, scrambled eggs on a toasted muffin and fruit salad, and your order is placed outside your room between 9:30 and 10am. All this and it’s affordable too – prices for a double room start from £72 during low season.
