Sea Spray Fistral

Muddy says: A surf-side cafe/ bistro, with super-friendly staff, a mouthwatering menu, from breakfast to dinner and some of the best views in town.

There’s been a cafe here, overlooking South Fistral for years but it’s been through several reincarnations. It’s the most beautiful spot that deserves a good eaterie and now we’ve got one. Thanks to a trio of new owners and experienced new chef Matt White, Sea Spray is once again top of my list for a lazy breakfast, tapas lunch or relaxed dinner (some evenings, check Facebook) in Newquay.

Young owners Kelly, her partner Chris and brother Steven are passionate about everything from the perfect coffee to the friendly service. Here is the story of Sea Spray in Kelly’s words…

“Our love of coffee shops was inspired by our Grandparents. Nana and Papa often went for coffee in the mornings whatever the weather, they loved being out and about, relaxing and doing the crossword together.

Towards the end of Julie’s life they found their all-time favourite cafe, where Kelly later worked and learnt the trade. Sea Spray has been created with this vision of perfect relaxation. A comforting smile, relaxed atmosphere and happy staff. That’s it!

We are proud to serve artisan Olfactory coffee, delicious cakes (including several gluten-free options), a selection of craft ales and great quality local food.”

Can I please ask if you will be open during the Christmas holiday period for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner and if so, would we need to book?

      Hello Sue,
Kelly here! We will be open over the Christmas period, apart from Christmas Day. Opening times and food options will be released shortly on our Facebook page. For example we’ll be opening Boxing Day for coffee, cake and curry. Something simple!
We always recommend booking anytime of year, so no one gets disappointed:)

Thank you for your support, keep an eye on our Facebook!
