Talented local artist Joanne Chadwick is holding an open studio auction all day Friday. Come along and check out her paintings and prints, along with lots of tea, coffee, and homemade yummy things (I can vouch for her pancakes!). She’s also hosting a closed bid auction on three paintings: “Heligan pigs on Georgian Ride”; “Helena Bonham Carter, portrait”; and “Pentewan, view west”; and the mounted print of “Heligan Turban Squash”. Metamorph, Royal Cornwall Museum, Truro from Mon 22 Feb
So excited that Boo Beaumont’s groundbreaking film ‘Metamorph’ will be shown for the first time in a gallery setting, at the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro. I am a huge fan of Boo’s XRay work, that, along with her other works can be found in many prestigious public and private collections worldwide. Metamorph uses X-Ray and CT technology to create an exquisite projection of plants and flowers, accompanied by a specially-composed soundtrack by Orlando Kimber.
