Gotta Have It
Feed your skin with pure botanical power from luxe Cornish beauty brand InLight. Muddy slathers up in the name of science!
Organic, vegan, super-pure beauty products used to be worthy but not that effective. Well, not any more! Discover my favourite no-nasties, organic beauty brand, InLight.
Based on Cornwall’s Lizard Peninsula, InLight was founded by Dr Mariano Spiezia, a medical herbalist and renowned skincare pro. Dr Spiezia has been considered the father of the organic beauty movement in Britain, having worked with the Soil Association to define the first organic beauty standards back in 2001, with his first skincare company. And he has been voted as one of the top 25 “Who’s who in natural beauty” by beauty industry insiders.
Inspired by the alchemy of nature, InLight products are formulated to maximise the energy of each ingredient and bring the skin into harmony. Dr Spiezia’s unique oil blends, are developed to give back to the skin the essential natural elements it needs to be nourished and regenerated. They’re also stylishly packaged (don’t they look pretty in these shelfies?) and packed with fragrant botanicals.
TRIED & TESTED
Superfood Green Mask, £39
“A wonderfully uplifting and rejuvenating organic face mask to detoxify and repair the skin, power-packed with antioxidants and essential fatty acids, naturally rich in Vitamin E for the perfect weekly detox and anti-ageing treatment.”
The Muddy verdict…
This multi award winner contains spirulina, rose seed oil, carrot root and barley leaf and is recommended for dry or sun damaged skin. I’ve tried this out several times now. It’s beautifully smooth and smells great. It also has a gentle exfoliating effect and leaves my skin feeling bright and beautifully nourished. The pot is fairly small but a little goes a long way, smoothing over your face easily.
Face Oil, £47
“A light, protective elixir for daily moisturising with rounded, addictive notes of vanilla and rose. Quickly absorbed into the skin. One of Dr Spiezia’s favourites, this precious light oil is also an ideal base for makeup.”
The Muddy verdict…
I’ve never got on with a facial oil before. My skin is oily enough as it is but this one is light and sinks in quickly for beautifully smooth feeling, glowy skin. Blue mallow, rosehip oil and jojoba oil means it smells as uplifting as it feels too.
