Sport relief – 3 days to go!
If you’ve been living under a rock these past few weeks, you’ll have slept through Jo Brand’s epic 150 miler and Eddie Izzard aka Marathon man’s latest challenge (27 marathons, 27 days), but there’s still time to do your bit for Sport Relief.
You can run, swim, cycle or even wobble yourself proud at events across Cornwall. There’s a distance for everyone in the Sport Relief Games, whether you’re sporty or not you’ll always be a fitty to me my dears.
With only a few days to go…here’s a selection of events coming up this weekend:
Eden Project Sport Relief Mile
This year’s Eden mile will take place around the beautiful outdoor gardens with the world famous Biomes as a backdrop. All participants will need to meet at the Visitors Centre Gallery between 13:00 – 13:30 for a 14:00 start. The route will be a mile circuit, with the option to run 1, 3 or 6 laps.
Eden Mile organiser Daniel Barrott said: “We are delighted that so many people have already signed up and we would love more people around Cornwall to take part and make it the best Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile we’ve hosted yet. So let’s show the rest of the country what we can do and raise as much money as we possibly can for this incredible cause!”
Eden are kindly offering free entry to Eden for participants and their families on the day after 12 noon – which is a jolly nice pat on the back.
