5 autumnal updates for your home
The nights are drawing in and the desire to get cosy is strong. Here are some seasonal interior ideas that we are coveting, all from local Cornish shops, natch.
Pumpkin Spiced Loveliness
Seasonal but not spooky, soft and charming in a bonkers kind of way, this russet velvet pumpkin from the Duchy of Cornwall Nursery is top of my wishlist. Run, don’t walk, as I have it on good authority that the small ones have already sold out…
Bowl me over
These hand blown amber glass bowls (left in the image) are from Muddy Award winning interior store Teylu Trading and are just the thing to refresh and perk up your dinner table – or even the breakfast table, as you could even use it for cereal! Bonus, they’re dishwasher safe too.
Retreat is the new scent combo from St.Eval that we gave away in our Muddy Awards goodie bags – the full set is intended as a retreat from the busy world where each of the three scents (lit in turn) envelops you on a journey of renewal, or, at least, brings a cosy scent to your house as the nights draw in.
Throw it down
More velvet, this time a luxe throw for your bed or sofa, which is a more classic way to introduce a seasonal colour update. Don’t fancy autumnal shades? Duchy Living in Truro has 15 different tones to choose from.
Glow on then
Steam-bender and lighting expert Tom Raffield’s latest range is inspired by the power and grace of the Atlantic Ocean – it ebbs, flows and rolls into your home, bringing with it the motion of seasonal Cornish swells. We particularly like this pendant lamp, which makes a curvy update to your current option.
