New to the Cornish getaway scene for 2022 is the luxury ARC homestay. A restored 18th century Georgian manor house, renovated and designed working with London-based architecture studio Parti Studio, it is bookable for groups of up to 24.

The manor house has been transformed into a stylish yet homely getaway – 12 en-suite bedrooms and five reception rooms mean there is plenty of space for everyone, plus with six parking spaces, an EV charging point, and four more spaces nearby, you can easily accommodate whole groups of friends for celebrations and holidays.

Amongst the highlights inside is a fully kitted out kitchen with not one but four ovens (!) plus a pizza oven and enough entertaining and eating space inside and out to keep even multiple chefs in the party happy. There’s also an oval sun lawn, outdoor kitchen and wood-fired hot-tub to keep everyone entertained, a home-from-home just on a grander scale.

And then there’s the ARC Lobby, a digital concierge where the best local activities, chefs and extras can be added into your stay in a beautiful and streamlined way: from local croissants and OJ delivered to your door for breakfast and a private bartender for cocktails night, to in-house yoga, or a personal photographer to document the getaway.

You’ll find the Manor House in St Issey, just outside Padstow. St Issey is a peaceful hamlet with a church and a pub – the Saints Way passes nearby making a gorgeous walk into Padstow, with its harbour, restaurants and boutiques, meaning you’re away from the hustle and bustle of the town but with easy access too. Also on the doorstep are the ‘Seven Bays’ – a beach for every day of your stay, as well as a golf course, and, you’re within easy striking distance of the beaches of Newquay and watersports heaven on the Camel Estuary.
