Godolphin Arms, Marazion

Muddy says: A stylish seaside stay in prime position, overlooking St Michael’s Mount. The Godolphin Arms has a bustling restaurant that’s popular for its fresh fish and classic British dishes.

Looking for a relaxed seaside escape? Well you can’t get much closer to the water than this without taking a cruise. When the tide is high, guests at the Godolphin Arms can sit on the restaurant terrace right on the water, taking in a panoramic view of St Michael’s Mount and Mounts Bay.

The hotel offers bed and breakfast accommodation in ten comfortable and stylish rooms, with a fresh and contemporary seaside feel. Most rooms have sea-view balconies, while others overlook the pretty village of Marazion and two suites offer extra space for families. From Smart TVs to White Company toiletries, you can expect lots of little luxuries to make your stay even easier as well as a full Cornish brekkie to look forward to in the morning.

Food is served all day in the restaurant, which is almost always bustling with visitors and locals. From inside or on the terrace, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee or cocktail soaking up that incredible view. The menu, crafted by head chef Nick Eyre, features crowd-pleasing classics done really well. Think hearty seaside fare made with fresh local produce, such as Newlyn crab sandwiches, fish and chips and homemade burgers.

The Godolphin Arms restaurant has a fun and friendly atmosphere, making it a failsafe choice for family gatherings and celebrations, such as a milestone birthday or wedding reception. Or if you happen to be passing on your dog walk be assured your four-legged friends are welcome, in the downstairs area of the restaurant and on the terraces.
