Harbour Hotel St Ives
Relaxed sea-side luxury with jaw-dropping sea views steps away from beautiful Porthminster Beach and a mere stroll into picturesque St Ives.
The Harbour Hotel St Ives is a luxury hotel and spa situated looking out over Porthminster Beach and moments away from postcard-perfect St Ives Harbour, with the added bonus of being the accessible side of the town if you arrive by car.
The Victorian building was fully renovated in 2018, and with jaw-dropping views out to sea from many rooms, this 52-room gem is also now rightly considered one of Cornwall’s best boutique hotels, making it an idyllic seaside getaway.
As you would expect from a building of this age, bedrooms are not all identical in size or appearance, although all have identical amenities such as Nespresso coffee machines, 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, complimentary gin & sherry and The White Company toiletries, as well as free wifi.
Food at the Harbour Hotel is under the care of John Pollard, formerly launching his brand of farm-to-fork eating for Soho House group eateries Pizza East and Chicken Shop, as well as renowned London kitchens J Sheekey, Scotts of Mayfair and the Rivington Gill.
Now at Harbour in the hotel’s HarBAR Kitchen, Bar & Terrace, John and his team still advocate locally grown produce, farm-raised, wild-caught seafood and farm-assured meats to expertly make traditional favourites and modern classics with a contemporary twist.
The luxury spa features treatment rooms, swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, an indoor relaxation area and outdoor sun terrace as well as a fitness centre, should you be so inclined.
Thining of arriving in Cornwall by train? The Harbour Hotel St Ives is a 2-minute walk to St Ives station. Take the mainline train to Penzane, then change for St Erth and on to St Ives. The 12 minute ride is one of the most scenic in the country with gorgeous beach-views and makes a wonderful start to your visit to St Ives.
