Mullion Cove Hotel & Spa
Overlooking Mullion Cove and the Atlantic, the striking white Victorian building and newly built eco-spa offers a luxurious coastal escape on the Lizard Peninsula.
Perched on the cliffs in a dramatic location on the Lizard Peninsula looking over Mullion Cove and out to the Atlantic this 4* hotel and spa offers a breathtaking escape from the everyday. The landmark white building once indicated a Victorian-era seaside retreat, now lovingly refurbished into a modern Cornish escape complete with eco spa.
30 spacious rooms are now all en-suite, many with breathtaking sea views, revamped by award-winning London/Cornwall interior designers, Hart Miller. Should you prefer a self-catering apartment, the fish cellars down on the Cove itself have been converted into four luxury self catering apartments all with unrivalled sea views and the same level of high service which has been associated with the Mullion Cove Hotel since 1898 – these are opening on 12 April, with the rest of the hotel following on 17 May.
The cliff-top sea view spa takes inspiration from the local surrounds using the local granite, copper, bronze and tin and includes an outdoor swimming pool lined with chic white loungers, and a cliff-top wood-fired hot tub, as well as treatment rooms using Made for Life organic Cornish products. Hand-carved Serpentine rock (the distinctive local green-ish rock found on the beaches surrounding the hotel) and lighting by Cornish-based lighting designer, Tom Raffield, completes the outside/inside natural feel.
Dining options are the Glenbervie Bistro and award-winning Atlantic View Restaurant as well as three spacious lounges (one of which is dog-friendly)
