One week to go: Muddy awards nominations!

Award buttons 2016 Master - Cornwall_winner

ATTENTION ATTENTION! To business mes amis: the Muddy Stilettos Awards 2016 have just ONE week left of nominations – that’s ONE week – practically a final call!

If you need a reminder, the aim of the Muddy Awards is to unearth the most unique, stylish, clever and brilliant businesses in Cornwall, with the help of the people really in the know. Oh now don’t be shy, yes, I mean you! That’s why the voting on Muddy is public. You frequent the pubs, visit the theatres, try the new beautician who’s just set up down the road, hear about the new gift shop that’s opening up or the fitness instructor who’s lifting buttocks all over the county (no, *sigh*, not literally, I believe that’s a criminal offence).

Its the businesses with the most votes that go into the final round of live voting, so don’t let them down.

The Muddy Awards cost a big fat zero to enter or nominate – the only shelling out is by me to do a winner’s event (more on that to come) – and I work really super hard to help all winners gain the publicity they deserve.

But I can’t do any of this without you. So please VOTE. Truly, it takes seconds.

You ready, people? Let’s do this; bottoms up!

I would vote for Hayle Mary in Hayle. Gorgeous hand made jewellery and lovely friendly service. It is great to see the jewellery being made in the shop. Pop in to meet Mary and treat yourself to something gorgeous.

I would like to nominate Fannie and Fox Gallery in Penryn. Its slightly hidden away in historic penryn but its a real find. Its a co-operative gallery and run by the artists, so you always get to meet one when you pop in. All of the artist live within 5 miles of the gallery. It has a quirky, eccentric mix of all sorts of work – textiles, paintings, tiles, prints, ceramics. Four times a year they change the window display and they are amazing! 3d windows, dancing foxes, a wall full of plants growing out of recycled bottles and so much more. You always receive a warm welcome when you arrive and its also very affordable. Can’t recommend it enough!

Hi Peter – great to hear – did you register your vote via the Art Gallery Category? It only takes a minute, and it means the number crunching robots behind the scenes will allocate it to F&F – cheers
