Back by popular demand! We’ve sorted your perfect Cornish socially distanced evening out! Following the mammoth success of Wavelength Media’s Drive-In Summer Cinema Series during 2020, the team is delighted to announce the event series is surfing back into Cornwall, bigger and better for 2021 – possibly the most beautiful outdoor cinema in Cornwall.
Bringing an epic schedule of family-friendly flicks, cult cinema classics and gnar-shredding surf movies, this year will feature additional afternoon screenings on bigger LED screens as well as an exclusive Surf Film Festival, celebrating current and classic surf cinema.
And we’ve got a set of tickets to giveaway to one lucky reader. Picture this… it’s sunset, you’re on the clifftop with a cold beer and food delivered direct to your car. You watch the sun go down overlooking the gorgeous Watergate Bay and then the film begins. We loved Point Break last year and this year have booked in for Big Wednesday on opening night.
Or, you could choose from the much-loved Dirty Dancing, legendary drive-in film, Grease and Spielberg thriller, Jaws. The surf-inspired movie line up will see exhilarating and entertaining options such as Cornwall’s own surf epic, Blue Juice plus Riding Giants and Big Wednesday – all viewed atop the Atlantic Ocean.
We’ve a set of tickets up for grabs which admits one car which can include up to five people (2 people included, you can then add up to a further three tickets). Drive in and sit back to enjoy a cult classic film.
Held on the Boardmaster’s festival site (Trebelsue Farm) overlooking Watergate Bay near Newquay, there’s room for 200 cars, with plenty of food and drink on site. Runs to 5 September 2020 – full line up here.
