5 Unmissable Fireworks Displays In Cornwall This Weekend

If you’re planning on bundling up and heading out to watch the skies this Guy Fawkes weekend, wave your sparklers this way! Here’s a selection of the bigger displays around the county.

Priory Park, Bodmin

Think big – really big. This is the biggest display in North Cornwall and it is not to be missed. As well as the display there are also fairground rides, stalls food and sweet concessions to enjoy. Watch the fireworks accompanied by songs from the movies such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Jaws. Fairground rides, stalls food and sweet concessions, with wine (yay!) and mulled wine for us grown ups.

Adults £5, Children £3

Gates open at 6pm, fite it at 7pm with the fireworks set off at 7:30pm

Truro Bonfire and Fireworks, Tremorvah Fields, Truro

This is a charidee event raising money for the ultra worthy Cornwall Air Ambulance and Penhaligon’s Friends. Hot food and refreshments will be on sale and there will be stalls selling snacks, glow-sticks and sparklers. Any child bringing along a guy will have free entry.

Adults £3, Children over 4, £1 and under 4’s free.

Gates open at 5pm with the fire lit at 5.45pm and fireworks set off at 6.45pm

Fri 4 Nov, Tremorvah Fields, Bodmin Road, opposite Archbishop Benson School, Truro.


Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes

Here’s a fireworks display with an unbeatable view – Trevaunance Cove in St Aggie.  As well as the rockets n stuff, there’s food, mulled wine, great beer and kids’ entertainment via the Driftwood Spars. Park up the lane from the Driftwood Spars towards the village.

Entry is free, but the organisers are hoping to raise loads of dosh for the Cornwall Air Ambulance so will be shaking the donation bucket on the night.

Fireworks start at 6pm.

Heartlands, Pool


Cornwall’s first crowdfunded fireworks night means this display is free! If you want to donate, you could receive a VIP viewing of the display from the engine house platform or you could even start the countdown for the fireworks.

Its a bit of a big deal actually – over 8,000 people came last year, with more expected this weekend. There’s also be activities and entertainment, live music and local radio. Park at Heartlands, Cornwall College or Carn Brea Leisure Centre.

Gates open at 6pm with the fire lit at 6.30pm and fireworks set off at 7.45pm

Another display set to music, there’s also hotfood and entertainment for the whole family.
