The biggest lights switch on event outside of London. Each year City of Lights attracts an audience of 30,000 people, serenaded by at least 100 local musicians and dancers and showcasing over 600 lanterns, made by local artists, school children, college students and community members, using simple materials (withy and paper) to create lanterns large and small. The theme for 2017 is ‘Remember’.

Cornish Bard, Nick Hart is to stage a brand new production of music and narrative – Great Circle, to be performed at the National Maritime Museum. Celebrating 50 years since the original Golden Globe Race, Great Circle is a production inspired by three legendary participants. It represents the psychology, triumph and tragedy of solo circumnavigation in this inaugural attempt to achieve the world record of sailing single-handed, non-stop around the Globe. Conveyed through a combination of song, narrative and imagery.
Natty 10th Anniversary Show, Mount Pleasant Eco Park, Porthtowan, Sat 24 Nov
