Sculptural Jewellery Inspired by the Sea
Spoil someone special with a one-of-a-kind gift from Cornwall-based jewellery designer Emily Nixon.
From her beautiful Hayle studio, designer Emily Nixon crafts jaw-droppingly beautiful jewellery that reflects the Cornish coastline.
With a background in fine art and a love of natural forms, she takes a sculptural approach to jewellery design, creating shapes that capture the fluidity and spontaneity of line drawings.
From her urchin bangles to her frilly seaweed earrings, Emily’s pieces are made to be worn and tell a story, incorporating the textures and shapes of the seashore.
As well as her collections, Emily also takes commissions for special, one–off pieces, from engagement rings to contemporary designs, made with inherited gemstones.
This weekend, Emily will be opening up her warehouse showroom in Hayle for a Christmas Showcase.
As well as her sparkling jewels, Emily’s friends from Oska St Ives will be showcasing outfits from their Autumn/Winter collection; The Cornish Deli has prepared delicious Cornish-inspired hampers and this will be the only place in Cornwall where you can find artist Nickie Carlyon’s adorable handmade fairies.
There are a lot of Christmas markets happening this weekend but this intimate shopping event is the one I’ll be heading for! This event will support Teenage Cancer Trust with 10% of all jewellery sales from the weekend being donated to the charity.
