What’s on: Thurs 13 – Wed 19 Oct

As we gallop into Autumn have I got some sweet treats for you this week my Muddy buddies.  You might be thinking it’s time to put the heating on, curl up in front of the fire and hibernate, but I’m telling you now, if it’s glitz, glamour and oysters you’re after – then this county is where it’s at.

You guys know how it work’s here: detailed DAY TO DAY LISTINGS can be found HERE and I’d encourage you to use that as the one-off events worth knowing about are listed.

A selection of the day to day listings follows. Have fun y’all!

There are no upcoming events at this time.

Falmouth oyster festival, Falmouth Thurs 13 – Sun 16 Oct

Four days of feasting, cooking demos, wine and seafood bars, live music and shopping – sign me up!

The Festival brings together a blend of esteemed local chefs, hardworking oyster fishermen, food and drink enthusiasts and an eclectic mix of musicians, all in celebration of the start of Falmouth’s unique oyster fishery season.

Thursday culinary highlights include Michelin award-winning chef Chris Eden opening the festival and sharing his secrets.

On Friday, Muddy secret crush George Pascoe, from Philleigh Way, guarantees a down to earth and fun demonstration, with Nick Hodges (The Greenbank Hotel) in the afternoon.

To finish off the day, if you are serious about cooking fish, don’t miss Annie Sibert’s (from My Fish Kitchen) cookery master class.

10am – 11pm Falmouth Oyster Festival, Events Square, Falmouth TR11 3QY

Woodland crowns, Glendurgan Gardens, Falmouth until Sun 16 Oct

Regular Muddy readers will know how much we heart crowns of all sorts here at Muddy HQ, and we’re excited that those lovely people at Glendurgan are offering willow crowns to every visitor, as part of the ‘fruits, trees and colourful leaves’ season. You don’t even need to be a wood nymph like this lady (personally I like the cloak, but seriously, how is it going to wash?). Decorate your own with autumnal leaf fall from the grounds.

10am – 5:30pm Free with entry Glendurgan Garden, Mawnan Smith, Falmouth TR11 5JZ E: [email protected] T: 01326 252020
