Cabaret! Redannick Theatre, Truro until Sat 24 Sept

If you loved Chicago, this is a show for you. Taking us deep into the seedy nightlife of the Kit Kat Klub on the eve of Hitler’s rise to power, Cabaret follows the interconnected lives of a cabaret singer, an American writer and the denziens of Berlin as they are caught up in the maelstrom of a changing society.

£10 7:30pm Redannick Theatre, Redannick Lane, Truro TR1 2JP T: 01872 222272

Looe Music Festival, Looe Harbour, Fri 23 – Sun 25 Sept

The last of the summer festivals, the main stage is back on the beach. Wowsers – 90 bands, five stages and three days.  Jools Holand headlined last year, and this year you can expect Wilko Johnson, Bryan Ferry and Fun Loving Criminals headlining Saturday and that nice BBC introducing stage I’ve been following all summer for my fix of Cornish up and coming.  Create dance holes in the sand, discover music around every corner and party with the friendliest crowds. This is a gentle and quite frankly grown up music festival you can take your parents to.

Last minute tickets still available for Saturday  and Sunday when I checked today (Monday).

Looe Music Festival 2016, Looe Harbour

The great Cornish food festival, Truro Fri 23 – Sun 25 Sept

A three-day gastro extravaganza, where over 100 different food experts and chefs gather to celebrate Cornwall’s beautiful bounty. Headlining this year, is double Michelin star holder April Bloomfield (Spotted Pig, NYC) and Tom Adams (Pitt Cue, London). These guys are responsible for creating Coombeshead Farm a new Cornish venture very much on the Muddy radar (more on that to come). Lots of food stalls so lots of tasting and shopping to be done.

From 9am Friday The Great Cornish Food Festival, Lemon Quay, Truro TR1 2PU
