A selection of the day to day listings follows. Have fun y’all!

There are no upcoming events at this time.

Lots of places to catch firework displays this weekend. See my top five here.

Embrace the season with loads of tasty foody events, workshops and fun this week:

Lowender Peran, Newquay until Sun 6 Nov

Lowender Peran is all about Celtic Kernow – celebrating Cornwall’s heritage and Celtic roots, this is the festival to beat all festivals. Loads of activities on all week from singing and dancing with the Ceili band (there are Ceilidh’s on all week) to street dancing workshops, sessions with the Falmouth Session Band, a performance by the St Ives Choir, arts, crafts, and shinty matches (if you’re new in town, its a bit like hurling) and a cultural expo, daytime entry is free, evening tickets only £8. Check the Lowender Peran website for the full events calendar here, tartan is optional.

Lowender Peran, Atlantic Hotel, Dane Road, Newquay , TR7 1EN

Philleigh Way Cookery School Bonfire Bonanza November discount

Muddy favourites George and co at Philleigh Way have a veritable banquet of courses lined up this month, including dinner party cookery (impress your friends), fish courses, simple suppers – perfect for the novice chef in your family, and a new Weber winter warmer course, showing you how to get the most out of your BBQ during the winter months (after all, a BBQ is for life not just for summer!) – very hyggelit! The courses are brilliant – the muddy team recently enjoyed a cup-cake stuffing, sorry, I mean charity baking event.

This immersive exhibition runs until 19 Nov and showcases Falmouth’s fabulous print collection, ranging from 16th C etchings, to contemporary screen prints.

Falmouth Art Gallery, Municipal Buildings, The Moor, Falmouth TR11 2RT

Pride and Prejudice, Hall for Cornwall, Truro Thurs 3 – Sat 5 Nov

I read P&P for A Level English, which kinda sucked the joy out of it for me, until that is, Colin Firth donned his britches. No CF in this performance, But I’m told Matthew Kelly adequately fills those britches – this energetic rom-com has been a sell-out up country. And heads up – Amber, over at Muddy Stilettos Surrey saw the production last week and shared her review with us.

£24-33, Hall for Cornwall, Back Quay, Truro TR1 2LL

El Domingo Español, Pintxo, Fowey, Sun 6 Nov until month end

Winter warmer warning! Throughout November those lovely amigos at Pintxo in Fowey will be cooking up a tasty Catalan stew every Sunday along with a jug of wine for £12….what a great way to spend a Sunday lunch. They don’t take reservations though, and can get pretty busy so turn up early and enjoy a Fino while you wait.

¡Hasta luego!

Sundays, 12-5pm, Pintxo, 38  The Espanade, Fowey PL23 1HZ
