The Greenbank Hotel, Falmouth

Muddy says: Wake up to the sound of the sea! Maritime heritage meets modern elegance at this waterfront Falmouth hotel.

Where better to get an authentic flavour of Falmouth than right on the water? The Greenbank Hotel and Water’s Edge Restaurant occupy prime position, perched on the historic harbour, with exceptional views across the Fal estuary to Flushing. In fact, with its own pontoon and moorings, you can even make the journey here by boat.

There’s a wide choice of comfortable and characterful bedrooms and suites, a few of which welcome families and dogs. The elegant interiors have subtle nautical influences and colourful accents and a good night’s sleep is guaranteed in the hotel’s seriously comfy beds. The luxurious en suite bathrooms, come complete with The White Company toiletries and in the seaview rooms, seating is positioned by the windows, so you can enjoy your morning coffee, while gazing out to sea.

Don’t miss dinner at the hotel’s 2 AA rosette restaurant, which offers relaxed fine dining with a view. The Water’s Edge kitchen is headed up by chef Nick Hodges and on the daily-changing menu, you’ll find plenty of fresh Cornish fish and seafood as well as quality local meats and a mouth-watering selection of desserts to tempt you.

The hotel has its own pub, The Working Boat, with a great choice of ales and a menu of hearty classics, ideal for family and dog-friendly dining. Cocktail Fridays, Gin Club evenings and the hotel’s famously decadent afternoon teas are other reasons you must stop by, whether you’re local or a visitor to Falmouth.

Guests can also book in for luxurious spa treatments or watersports adventures to enhance their Falmouth escape.
