28 miles west of Land’s End off the Cornish coast and in the cold Atlantic waters, you’ll find the Isles of Scilly – an archipelago of islands. Churchtown Farm is on St Martin’s, one of the smaller ‘off’ islands. Just 2 miles long and 1/4 of a mile wide and with a population of about 120 people, the warm Gulf Stream flowing around the island creates a sub-tropical climate that makes it possible to grow scented outdoor flowers throughout the year – a mainstay of the Scillonian economy for centuries.

Scilly Flowers is at Churchtown Farm, family owned and run, where they grow scented narcissi and pinks, sending them nationwide. They sent their first box in 1991, so 2021 marked 30 years of sending flowers out by post.

Order online and your blooms will be freshly picked, sorted and then sent by 1st class post to anywhere in the UK, starting their journey to the mainland by plane or by ship before arriving ready to brighten up your – or someone else’s – morning when they arrive through your letterbox.
