The Cornwall Hotel and Spa is set in extensive grounds on Cornwall’s south coast near St Austell. Welcoming individuals, couples, families, and dogs, The Cornwall has 65 rooms ranging from the quirky to the contemporary.

If you prefer Victorian opulence, book a room in the White House, the original 19th-century manor. These elegant rooms are full of character, with original features and individual decor. Each one is named after a different person connected with the old house and the Coode family who built it.

More contemporary rooms can be found in the Woodland wing, where the rooms have balconies with views across the parkland and are decorated in calm and neutral tones. Or, book one of the two- and three-bedroom self-catering Woodland Lodges.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant and bar, and afternoon tea in the Tea Room, and open to non-residents, likewise the Sunday Carvery.

Also on site is the health suite, spa and garden view infinity pool, which welcomes residents and non-residents for treatments and spa days.

Dogs are welcome (£15 per dog), and permitted in the bar, and Doggie-Bags to make pup’s day are available to hire including dog bowl, towel and bed blanket for use during your stay, along with some locally-made tasty treats. The hotel is surrounded by a mature parkland estate, plenty of green spaces, tall trees and dog walks.

The 5.5km Pentewan Trail, linking the woods outside the Hotel to the beach at Pentewan, follows the route of an old railway line, which slopes gently down to the coast at Pentewan, passing the babbling waters of the White River, the shady undercover woodland glade and the water splash (popular with dogs, children and cyclists) from which there is also access to The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
