Independent brewers, Verdant, have opened a new taproom next door to their brewery to add to Muddy fave little places plate, The Seafood Bar in Falmouth. Behind the bar, you’ll find 16 keg lines and 4 cask lines to choose from, along with some amazing craft ciders, carefully selected spirits &amp; wines and premium soft drinks. Alongside all of that they will be offering Neapolitan-style wood fired pizzas.

Sourdough, sandwiches and small batch bread &amp; pastries, you&#8217;ll find Gorse just outside Newquay at Prow Park, alongside surf board makers, a hairdressers, FruutBox, and, um, Screwfix (handy, though!).

Lidl, Ann&#8217;s Cottage and Carpet World are not where you&#8217;d usually head for excellent wood fired pizza but if you live in Wadebridge, St Columb or Bodmin you&#8217;ll won&#8217;t want to miss Lewis&#8217; Wild Bake pizza horsebox parked up one day a week serving delicious and freshly made pizzas, plus various campsites during the summer months.

Purveyor of the world&#8217;s best cinnamon buns, Da Bara&#8217;s cafe is adjacent to their bakery, handily just off the A39 at Indian Queens. Don’t miss their sourdough bread, sausage rolls, cakes and general baked goodies as well as cafe-style breakfasts and lunches. Take-away only, or eat at the outside tables.

A vibrant yellow collection of shipping containers on a little industrial estate just outside of Rock is the scene for Bluntrock (which I had to crop above, as they&#8217;ve had a name change) and their nanobrewery and bar &#8211; expect an ever changing series of beers depending on what the boys have brewed that week, alongside food trucks, my favourite of which is Fat Cat Ramen.

Tom used to work for Rick Stein (above, with Tom) before he opened his roadside food van, and we have it on good authority &#8211; and from watching Stein&#8217;s Cornwall recently, natch &#8211; that Tom&#8217;s burgers are the best you&#8217;ll find roadside in Cornwall.
