Bedruthan, Mawgan Porth

Bringing Palm Springs vibes and mid-century modern glamour to the North Cornish coast, Bedruthan is a family-friendly hotel in Mawgan Porth.

Bedruthan in Mawgan Porth is a beautiful hotel that plays homage to California’s modern desert houses, perched on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic in a small Cornish beachside village between Newquay and Padstow. Bedruthan was first built in 1959, designed by Richard Neutra. Mid-century architecture and 50s Danish interiors, outdoor shaded terraces and a refreshing sea views means calm and airy family-friendly coastal stays.

Two restaurants,Wild Café and Ogo + an onsite bakery and bar all operate with a low waste approach. Ogo’s menus change daily to reflect the freshest local produce available, with tables inside and out. Both restaurants are open to guests as well as non residents, as is the Sensory Spa Garden. Guests have access to the onsite spa facilities which includes both indoor and outdoor pool as well as the hydropool, steam room and sauna as well as sports facilities, and a daily complimentary wellbeing class.

Family activities include kids clubs, evening entertainment and family sensory spa garden in the school holidays, a play creche for guests and access to the soft play, cinema and play room, plus look out for the daily craft sessions and kids crafty parties.

Non-residents can also book spaces for meetings, events and weddings, plus Create Cornwall with their on site shop and daily craft sessions.

Bedruthan has a range of rooms to cater to various budgets, from sea view doubles to apartments, plus plenty of family and dog friendly options. Room prices start from £144 B&B Non-sea View and there is a selection of curated packages.
