St Ives Bay Beach Resort, Hayle

Set on a three-mile expanse of golden sand on Cornwall’s famed St Ives Bay, this newly acquired beach resort is just the place for a laid-back self-catering caravan style holiday.

Nestled in the dunes between the National Trust owned Godrevy and the up-and-coming Hayle, new owners, Away Resorts, have breathed new life and £3m investment into St Ives Bay Beach Resort. From camping and touring pitches to chalets, caravans and fab little camping pods, there is unique and exclusive accommodation, some with hot tubs, to suit all needs.

On site you’ll find refurbished entertainment venue, the Dynamite Bar, plus a brand new food offering, unlike any other holiday park and plenty of activities and entertainment – plus arcade, and on-site shop.

The real draw though is the private access to a 3-mile long, sandy beach – and the famous St Ives Bay. Stretching from Virginia Woolf’s famed lighthouse, Godrevy, right the way round to the place that she viewed it from, St Ives itself, this six-mile expanse of water has attracted artists, creatives (and holiday makers) for generations.

Should the surf school and sandy lifeguarded beach not tire out the whole family, there’s also an indoor swimming pool, perfect for not so clement weather, as well as a play park and crazy golf. Then relax with a drink in the bar and take in the glorious views and epic sunsets, before enjoying the nightly entertainment.

And, don’t forget your furry friends, dogs are welcome at St Ives Bay Beach Resort too – and while a lot of beaches in Cornwall are closed to dogs between May and September, Mexican Towans, the beach in front of the resort, is dog friendly all year.
