This week

Mon 12 - Sun 18 Aug

Falmouth Week, Falmouth, Fri 9 – Sun 18 Aug

Falmouth Week is a major attraction for locals and visitors alike. With its origins in a local sailing regatta dating back at least far as 1837, the Week has evolved into not only a major sailing competition in the SW but also an opportunity for sailors and landlubbers to enjoy the many daytime and evening attractions in the town. Plus The Red Arrows, a pink wig parade and fireworks? I’m there!

Roots Culture Summer Market, Mount Pleasant Eco Park, Porthtowan, Sun 18 Aug

Equal parts entrepreneurial incubator and community gathering space, it all culminates in a lively celebration of contemporary craft and design culture with delicious vegan and veggie produce. Featuring an array of makers, interactive elements, artisanal food and libations, great music and good time.

HabourQ, Charlestown Harbour, Fri 5 July – beginning of Oct

The Smokin’ Harbour BBQ, HarbourQ, is the latest development from the team behind the popular steak and seafood restaurant, The Longstore. Chef Ben Ambridge’s menu offers melt-in-your-mouth BBQ flavours, including slow-cooked meat, fish and veggie specials – all served with pickles, homemade sauces, potato salad and flatbreads – freshly cooked in a new purpose-built smoker and grill. A communal outdoor seating area has been purpose built on the harbour, with an undercover canopy to protect guests from summer showers.
