<p>From little ones in pots to great big whoppers to fill the tallest of grandest hallways, there is plenty of choice at the Duchy &#8211; as well as gorgeous wreaths to buy if you didn&#8217;t manage to book in a workshop to make your own. &nbsp;Star of the show are the locally grown Noble Fir. These majestic trees have strong, bushy, tiered branches with beautiful blue-green non-drop needles. Sizes range from 4ft to 8ft.</p>

<p>Locally grown, trees from this farm have featured in No. 10 and No. 11 Downing Street, including on (what was then) Rishi&#8217;s front door &#8211; and the Doc Martin Christmas Special, as well as across many Cornish towns and harbours too.</p>

<p>Reserve your tree by booking a tree and a collection slot in advance, then head to the festive fields at Tregothnan where you will find your tree that will be freshly cut down for you to take home (or, bring your own hand saw!).</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><a href="https://cambrosechristmastrees.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cambrose Christmas Tree Farm</a>, Porthtowan/Portreath</h2>



<p>Christmas trees at all stages of growth from 12 inches to 20 feet tall and all of them are low needle drop varieties. Trees have been planted by hand and are meticulously cared for throughout their lifespan which is normally between 8 and 10 years. Open every day for cutting and selling from the last Saturday in November.</p>

<p>Grown on site from seed, choose from one of 20,000 trees &#8211; tie on your personalised ribbon and wait for your tree to grow before returning for it to be cut down or dug up.</p>

<p>These guys are more widely known for their cider, but those in the know pick up a Nordmann Fir from the farm&nbsp;that&nbsp;has been grown on-site and freshly cut. Don&#8217;t miss the Christmas market where you can do a spot of shopping or book a festive roast to make a day of it.</p>

<p>Locally grown Christmas trees for sale on Saturdays and Sundays through December, and then their Farmers Market is every third Sunday (next one is 15 Dec) with local produce from land and sea, so the December market is promisingly Christmassy! Sip a mulled cider while you choose your tree.</p>

<p>The trees were from just over the border in Dartmoor and a firm locals favourite but Woods Cafe have announced last year they were unable to make it work.</p>

Before you buy your tree, work out what you&#8217;re going to do with it afterwards &#8211; at the risk of being totally boring, <a href="https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/rubbish-recycling-and-waste/recycling/recycling-items/christmas-trees/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cornwall Council aren&#8217;t offering free collection this year</a>, so look up your nearest beach groups who collect them for dunes defences, or chop &#8217;em up for your fire.</em></p>
