More finish the cooking at home than a takeaway roast (as you’ll need to spend 30 mins cooking), the Star & Garter’s Sunday roast box contains everything you need to take lockdown Sundays to another level. Including Philip Warren’s 30 day aged moorland beef sirloin, roasted seasonal vegetables, the ultimate cauliflower cheese, and Horseradish and thyme Yorkshire puddings – plus a decadent dessert to finish (S&G’s famous dark chocolate mousse cheesecake with smoked almond praline), at £45 the box generously feeds two. The Mariner’s, Rock near Wadebridge
Enjoy pub classics on Friday and Saturday and Sunday roasts from Paul Ainsworth’s waterfront Rock pub, The Mariners, from home with their new collection service. Pre-ordering essential for the pub classics and roasts but locals out for their daily exercise can also pick up a ‘roast dinner bap’ without ordering from 11am – 4pm on Sundays.
Tremenheere Kitchen, Penzance
Takeaway/ home roast lunches available each week from this gorgeous cafe in the grounds of Tremenheere Sculpture Garden, with views over Mount’s Bay to St Michael’s Mount. Choose from beef and yorkshires and all the trimmings, or pork with stuffing. Veggies are catered for a with nut roast, plus all orders come with an optional extra add-on dessert box.
Boscastle Farm Shop
At Boscastle Farm Shop perched up on the hill above Beeny Cliff and the harbour, the beef is their own and their roast lunches legendary (even in winter you always needed to book) – order a roast dinner for takeaway and add a dessert too. Sadly unless you live next door you won’t be able to enjoy this view while you eat but spend £20 and they’ll deliver to you instead.
Catch Mawgan Porth, Near Newquay
Catch in Mawgan Porth have their take away “roast on the coast” available on Sundays. Must book by Friday using their call and collect service, they also have their seafood specials available including day boat fish and shellfish and some cracking oysters.
