Excitement is building ahead of a series of three foodie events including <a href="https://www.penzancefoodfestival.co.uk/">Penzance Food Festival</a>, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/looefoodanddrinkfest">Looe Food and Drink Festival</a> and <a href="https://www.trurofoodfestival.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Truro Food Festival</a> later this month, as more details are released of the star-studded chef line-ups.

In Penzance (Fri 13 &#8211; Sun 15 Sept), there&#8217;s a <a href="https://www.penzancefoodfestival.co.uk/schedule">busy schedule of demos</a> all three days, on Saturday catch <a href="https://cornwall.muddystilettos.co.uk/life/people/rose-cant-mum-on-muddy-lane-cornwall/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rose Cant &#8211; Mum on Muddy Lane</a> on stage on Saturday at 12pm, followed by <a href="https://cornwall.muddystilettos.co.uk/life/people/whats-cooking-jude-kereama-kota-restaurant-porthleven/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Jude Kerama &#8211; Kota</a> at 1pm, plus the main stage and wellness area with Rising Embers wood fired sauna, probiotic mocktails from <a href="https://www.newlynfermentary.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Newlyn Fermentary</a> and a schedule of free activities to nourish body &amp; soul. 



Meanwhile in Looe (Sun 15 Sept) there&#8217;s a <a href="https://www.instagram.com/looefoodanddrinkfest">full lineup of demos</a> with chefs including Ben Palmer, Andi Tuck and Charlie Walters taking to the stage.

Over in Truro, Paul Ainsworth and Charlotte Vincent are the latest names to be revealed, joining the likes of Jude Kereama, Charlie Waters, and Kate Attlee in the Chef’s Theatre &#8211; the centrepiece of the five-day food extravaganza which will take place between 25th – 29th September.

Kota Kai is excited to announce the return of its popular Asian Nights this Autumn, marking a significant milestone—20 years since the very first curry night. What began as a weekly tradition when Jude and his wife Jane ran the former Smokehouse restaurant has evolved into a cherished part of the Kota Kai experience, and this autumn, it’s back in full swing.

On 7 November, The Great Coast-to-Coast Charity Dinner will take place for the first time at The Alverton, a luxury hotel hidden in the heart of the city of Truro, to celebrate Cornish food and drink with Hospitality Action, a very special charity at the centre of it all. With a mission to support and assist all who work, or have worked, within the hospitality industry in the UK, many of whom have fallen on hard times – be it financial, physical or mental – <a href="https://www.hospitalityaction.org.uk/about-us/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Hospitality Action</a> is a helping hand when help is needed.



In a true celebration of everything Cornwall’s coastline has to offer, some of the county’s leading chefs will be taking over, including many stars of BBC Two’s Great British Menu – Kota and Kota Kai’s Jude Kereama, The Sardine Factory’s Ben Palmer, St Enodoc’s Guy Owen, 2018’s South West Chef of the Year Tim Kendall, and The Alverton’s very own Executive Chef Nick Hodges.



Meanwhile, over the border, the foodie-minded owners of Buckfastleigh’s gorgeous boutique hotel, Furzeleigh Mill, have a tasty treat for travelling foodies tasty. The <a href="https://furzeleigh.co.uk/furzeleigh-adventures" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Furzeleigh Mill Food &amp; Drink Tour</a> is an informative four-night stay, where you will be ferried around some of the county’s best local producers in Furzeleigh’s bespoke courtesy car while enjoying a gastronomic odyssey.



On the itinerary is the chance to get hands-on with gin or rum making. You’ll take trip out to Devon’s hidden gem tea plantation, Dartmoor Estate Tea where you’ll take part in a tea ceremony. You’ll try pickles and chilli chocolate at Devon Chill Farm. You’ll also eat out at the fabulous Riverford Field Kitchen, known for their local grown organic veggies, and take a wine tour around Calancombe Estate’s productive vineyard during harvest.

Over in Fowey it&#8217;s good news for North Street Kitchen who were voted &#8216;Best Local Restaurant in the South West&#8217; by the Good Food Guide, and near neighbours, Appletons are among the finalists for Restaurant of the Year, as voted for by the Food Lifestyle readers, alongside Mine, Falmouth.

It was sad times when Tom and Lara of award-winning pub The Peterville had to let go their second pub in Truro, but we&#8217;re pleased to report that The Wig &amp; Pen has now re-opened under new ownership.
