<p>Love a swanky hotel stay? Then listen up. Last year the MICHELIN Guide introduced a new appraisal system for hotels called <a href="https://guide.michelin.com/gb/en/article/travel/everything-you-need-to-know-about-the-michelin-key-for-hotels-gbi" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Michelin Key</a>. Just as the Michelin Star recognises restaurants for outstanding cooking, the Michelin Key recognises hotels for outstanding stays. This year, they&#8217;ve awarded 139 hotels across the UK with one, two and three keys*.</p>

<p>Situated on a quiet street in the old town of Padstow, Padstow Town House is an  18<sup>th</sup> century building with six uniquely styled suites, set back from the bustling harbour. Run by the Ainsworth&#8217;s, it is a B&amp;B, with dining nearby at No6, Paul&#8217;s flagship restaurant. Restaurant reservations are arranged by the team, who also offer a Chauffeur service around the town in the Padstow Townhouse BMW, or Hunter wellies for windswept beach walks, and board games at the ready for cosy, rainy afternoons.</p>

<p>Overlooking the harbour at St Mawes on the Roseland, there are 19 smartly decorated bedrooms at this boutique seaside hotel, as well as a waterside terrace, and The Reef Knot Restaurant, led by Head Chef Carla Jones, that serves the best of Cornish sea-to-table cuisine.</p>

<p>Formerly a yacht club, Hotel Tresanton is series of white washed buildings plus chic beach club from the Polizzi Group that sits above the water at St Mawes, just along the front from The Idle Rocks. The&nbsp;Mediterranean&nbsp;vibe doesn&#8217;t end there either, as from May to the end of September, the Tresanton skipper will take you sailing around Falmouth bay on their classic Italian sailing yacht, Pinuccia,&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Sitting at the top of end of Penzance&#8217;s beautiful Chapel Street is the old Georgian Inn that is now the Artist Residence Cornwall. Enticing glimpses of the fishing boats returning to harbour, and the Scillonian heading out to the Isles of Scilly can be seen from the top windows, where roll top baths and eccentric decor invite relaxation. On the ground floor, the Cornish Barn is an all day neighbourhood bistro, bar &amp; lounge complete with terrace garden.</p>

Formerly Hadspen House, since 2019 it’s been home to a spa hotel, a working farm, a restaurant and landscaped gardens, with the rooms located in the original limestone house and the Farmyard outbuildings. Andrew Shop &amp; Post Office, Birch Farm and the new boutique rooms.</p>
