At opposite ends of the Duchy you&#8217;ll find <a rel="noreferrer noopener" style="font-weight: bold" href="https://www.leopallooza.com/" target="_blank">Leopallooza</a>, described as the UK’s greatest house party in a field and just 25 mins outside of Bude and <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://goonhilly.live/" target="_blank">Goonhilly 60</a>, at Goonhilly Earth Station near Helston. The line up at Leo includes he line up this year includes Metronomy, Sleaford Mods and Lianne La Havas, plus a host of music, arts, theatre, kids entertainment, comedy and dance all weekend.&nbsp;Also family friendly (my kids love the kids activities, like Muddy Award winning Rogue Theatre, below).

Meanwhile over at Goonhilly, expect an interstellar&nbsp;programme&nbsp;of curated music, talks and educational workshops,&nbsp;on the&nbsp;Orbit stage, for all the family – set amongst the satellite dishes and backdropped by Goonhilly vistas and the&nbsp;breath-taking beauty of the&nbsp;Lizard Peninsula. Goonhilly Earth Station is the UK’s gateway to space, and the world’s only commercial Deep Space station and has been instrumental to space exploration for six decades, yet remains shrouded in mystery and closed to the public for over a decade. You will recognise at least one of the major satellites, named after Cornish legend Arthur, responsible&nbsp;for&nbsp;transmitting&nbsp;the historic TV pictures of the Apollo 11 moon landings to 600 million people&nbsp;globally.

Every Sunday in July and August, enjoy a delicious dish from our specially selected Woodfired Menu, expertly mixed cocktails and live acoustic music as the sun sets at Una St Ives. Sunday lunch is served from 12pm-3pm, please book your table online. Live music starts at 2pm and guests can also make use of the spa too.



Or, if you&#8217;re over Lizard way, there&#8217;s also free live music at Polurrian on the Lizard Hotel are the&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.polurrianhotel.com/events" target="_blank">Woodfired Sessions</a>, with different acts each week. Lunch is also served from 12 – 4pm with music from 4pm and pizzas from 6pm.



Go to a regatta



Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, regatta week at Charlestown gets underway on 23 July and includes parties, celebrations, competitions and plenty of music and entertainment alongside the sailing – with the week culminating in the finale, Regatta Rocks.

Quite the line-up, if you&#8217;re so inclined, with the UK’s premier all male theatre company, The Lord Chamberlain’s Men in&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.pentillie.co.uk/whats-on/outdoortheatre-asyoulikeit" target="_blank">As You Like It</a>, on Pentillie’s Old Tennis Lawn on 20 July, followed by <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.trebahgarden.co.uk/events/theatre/a-midsummer-night-s-dream" target="_blank">A Midsummer Night’s Dream</a> on 21 July at Trebah, then head over to St Agnes Beacon for Miracle Theatre’s <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://miracletheatre.co.uk/tour-dates/?show_id=9084" target="_blank">King Lear</a> (starts 21 July and runs until 23 July),

Outdoor theatre company&nbsp;Slapstick&nbsp;Picnic&nbsp;will return with a reprise of their mischievous reimagining of&nbsp;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.slapstickpicnic.com/ticketlistings/the-importance-of-being-earnest-norton-barton-artisan-food-village" target="_blank">The Importance of Being Earnest</a>.&nbsp;Ripping up the recipe book and dishing out a hectic, two-actor production of Oscar Wilde’s classic play, audiences will be invited to tuck into a&nbsp;picnic&nbsp;and join in the silliness at Norton Barton Artisan Food Village, Bude, 21 July.



Get your art on



Try an art class with a two day <a href="https://www.schoolofoutdoorart.co.uk/service-page/creative-flow-helford-river-july-21-22?referral=service_list_widget">Creative Flow course at the School of Outdoor Art, Helford River</a>, on 21 and 22 July. This two-day course includes a half-day Canadian Canoe paddle, in collaboration with Immerse Outdoors, teamed with Plein Air water-based sketching, mixed media exercises and tutorials. £245 per person. Courses come complete with expert guidance, refreshments, and a home-made vegetarian lunch, crafted using seasonal organic produce from the school’s on-site kitchen garden – plus a School of Outdoor Art drawing board sketchbook to take home.
