Royal Cornwall Show

The big one in the country calendar, the Royal Cornwall Show (Thurs 4 – Sat 6 June) has been hosted for more than two centuries; the local schools get a community day timed round it. As you’d expect from a traditional country show there are animals, entertainment, a flower show, and competition classes of all kinds but foodies will want to head straight to The Food & Farming Pavilion showcasing the county’s finest food and drink, just like William and Sophie did in 2025, above.

AHC (Adam Handling Collection) Food Festival

The fireside feasting events at The Tartan Fox at Summercourt near Newquay are an exciting opportunity for guests to come and try out the pub’s best loved signatures, alongside some brand-new dishes, for an entertaining evening of exceptional food and great company in a relaxed atmosphere. The food festival return to the pub, with festival feasting nights from 12 -14 June 2026.

Looe Food & Drink Festival

Looe Food & Drink Festival is set to return to East Looe Quayside on Sun 14 June, bringing another vibrant celebration of Cornwall’s exceptional food and drink scene to the picturesque harbour town. Supported by Sharp’s, The Sardine Factory Restaurant, Cornish Collection and Reach The Sea, the one-day, free-to-attend festival promises its biggest and most exciting line-up yet.

Newquay Food Festival

New on the foodie scene for 2025 was Newquay Food Festival at Killacourt (9 – 12 July 2026), where you can expect the best of Cornwall’s food, drink, and creative community, set against the dramatic backdrop of Newquay’s Atlantic coast. Head over for local food traders, live fire-cooking demos, plus musicians, bands, artisan stalls, and a vibrant festival atmosphere.

Rock Oyster Festival

Although not just a food festival, food plays a big part at Rock Oyster Festival (Thurs 23 – Sun 26 July) both in terms of the calibre of stands offering food to eat on site, as well as feasts to book. With a line-up of incredible music from internationally acclaimed artists, mouth-watering cuisine from Michelin-starred chefs as well as an extensive adventure and wellbeing programme, expect chef demos and talks. My kids loved Rose Cant (aka Mum on Muddy Lane)’s kids food workshop!

Bude Food Festival

Bude Food Festival (Fri 6 April and Sun 10 Aug) combines street food with an Artisan Food Market and is held in The Castle grounds, in the centre of town and next to Summerlease Beach.

Penzance Food Festival

Penzance Food Festival (Sept 2026 tbc) is held in Penlee Park, and after an epic 2024 returned once again in September 2025, but no details yet for 2026. Free entry, with live cookery demos, and local creatives and foodies in the Producer Tent. Plus workshops, live music and food for everyone. Cornwall Street Food Festival

Cornwall Street Food Festival (2026 TBC) usually heads to St Austell at Par Market. Try street food from across the globe over the three days, free to enter.

Truro Food Festival

Truro Food Festival (Weds 23 – Sun 27 Sept) is Cornwall’s largest – and OG – food festival, and now runs over four days showcasing local chefs, live music, and food to buy along with street food & bar.

Falmouth Oyster Festival

Devoted to the mighty mollusc, Falmouth Oyster Festival (8 – 11 Oct 2026) is one of Cornwall’s biggest and most-loved specialist food events and was back for 2025 after a break in 2024. Celebrate the native Fal Oyster and diversity of Cornish seafood with four days of cookery demonstrations, feasting and festivities.

Padstow Christmas Fayre

Rounding out the year is the festive Padstow Christmas Fayre (3 – 6 Dec 2026), a four-day celebration of Cornish food, drink and seasonal cheer each December. Free to attend and set around Padstow’s charming harbour, the Fayre offered 50 chef demos in 2025, plus masterclasses from top names, artisan markets, lantern parades, fireworks, live music and family-friendly activities. The event also supports local charities, making it a heart-warming way to kick off the festive season.

Porthleven Food Festival

The Porthleven Food Festival, Porthleven (Fri 24 – 26 April) brings people together to enjoy eats and beats around the stunning harbour of Porthleven with a national and international chef’s theatre, food stalls, street food, music by day and night and entertainment for all.

Free plus some ticketed events, or choose a VIP Gourmet Weekend Ticket with priority parking, VIP seating in the chef’s theatre and entrance to the evening entertainment.

St Ives Food Festival

St Ives Food Festival (Fri 15 – Sun 17 May) is back for 2026 on the white sands of Porthminster Beach. The chef line-up is now live, as is the whole free daytime music line-up for the Beach Stage, the schedule for the new Chef’s Table food and drink masterclass venue and info about the Little Nippers Green (a new family friendly area with lots of fun activities including Rose Cant’s kids cooking class!)

Falmouth Food Festival

Falmouth Food Festival (Fri 22 – Mon 25 May) is a celebration of great food, live music, and local creativity. Established on the waterfront in 2023, it features some of the best food vendors from Cornwall, as well as live music, chef demos and unique crafts. Held on Church Street over the bank holiday weekend.
